All middle and high school students interested in serving the community and gaining leadership skills are invited to attend HCASC's next meeting, being held on Wednesday, December 11, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Homewood Center, 10914 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City. At the December meeting, students will hear from Howard County Board of Education members, Howard County Council officials, and state representatives on how to effectively present ideas and feedback at the state and local level. At all HCASC meetings, students have the opportunity to:

• Work with student leaders from around the county
• Meet with the Student Member of the Board of Education
• Gain leadership skills
• Turn ideas into action
• Learn about community service opportunities
• Practice civic engagement and serve as informed citizens
